It is good to praise God and to exalt his name, worthily declaring the works of God. Do not be slow to give him thanks. 12.7 It is good to guard the secret of a king, but gloriously to reveal the works of God. Finally then, brothers, we beg and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more and more. 4.2 For you know what charge we gave you through the Lord Jesus. 4.3 For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, 4.4 that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, ' "4.5 not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don't know God; " '4.6 that no one should take advantage of and wrong a brother or sister in this matter; because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified. 4.7 For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification. But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you. 5.2 For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.

For those who sleep, sleep in the night, and those who are drunken are drunken in the night. ' "

For God didn't appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, " 5.10 who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense;

how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation -- which at the first having been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard;
