Be not wise in thine own eyes; Fear the LORD, and depart from evil;" 3.12. For whom the LORD loveth He correcteth, Even as a father the son in whom he delighteth." 4.7. The beginning of wisdom is: Get wisdom; Yea, with all thy getting get understanding." 5.3. For the lips of a strange woman drop honey, And her mouth is smoother than oil;" 7.20. He hath taken the bag of money with him; He will come home at the full moon.’" 8.7. For my mouth shall utter truth, And wickedness is an abomination to my lips." 8.18. If you will fear the Lord, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, and if both you and also the king that reigns over you will follow the Lord your God –" 17.22. And she said to her servants, Go on before me; behold, I come after you. But she told not her husband Naval." 25.20. And it was so, as she rode on the ass, that she came down by the covert of the hill, and, behold, David and his men came down against her; and she met them." 25.21. Now David was saying, Surely in vain have I guarded all that this fellow has in the wilderness, so that nothing of his possessions was missing: and he has rendered me evil for good." 25.22. So and more also do God to the enemies of David, if I leave alive of all his people by the morning light so much as a single man." 25.24. and fell at his feet, and said, Upon me, my lord, upon me let this iniquity be: and let thy handmaid, I pray thee, speak in thy ears, and hear the words of thy handmaid." 25.25. Let not my lord, I pray thee, take heed of this worthless fellow, Naval: for as his name is, so is he; Naval is his name, and folly is with him: but I thy handmaid did not see the young men of my lord, whom thou didst send." 25.26. Now therefore, my lord, as the Lord lives, and as thy soul lives, seeing the Lord has prevented thee from coming to shed blood, and from avenging thyself with thy own hand, now let thy enemies, and they that seek evil to my lord, be as Naval." 25.27. And now this blessing which thy handmaid has brought to my lord, let it be given to the young men that follow my lord." 25.28. I pray thee, forgive the trespass of thy handmaid: for the Lord will certainly make my lord a sure house; because my lord fights the battles of the Lord, and evil has not been found in thee all thy days." 25.29. Though a man rises to pursue thee, and to seek thy soul: yet the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bond of life with the Lord thy God; and the souls of thy enemies, them shall he sling out, as out of the hollow of a sling." 25.30.
