nanThe mother of seven sons expressed also these principles to her children:


nanI was a pure virgin and did not go outside my father's house; but I guarded the rib from which woman was made.


nanNo seducer corrupted me on a desert plain, nor did the destroyer, the deceitful serpent, defile the purity of my virginity.


nanIn the time of my maturity I remained with my husband, and when these sons had grown up their father died. A happy man was he, who lived out his life with good children, and did not have the grief of bereavement.

He said to him, 'If they don't listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.' 24.25. Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. 24.44. He said to them, "This is what I told you, while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me must be fulfilled.

5.17. Don't think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn't come to destroy, but to fulfill. 7.12. Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets. 7.13. Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. 11.13. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. 22.40. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.

7.89. During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly. 9.32. But though our fathers received the law, they did not keep it, and did not observe the statutes; yet the fruit of the law did not perish -- for it could not, because it was thine.
