—Ἰδοὺ ἔρχομαιταχύ,καὶ ὁ μισθόςμουμετ̓ἐμοῦ,ἀποδοῦναι ἑκάστῳ ὡς τὸ ἔργονἐστὶν αὐτοῦ.Behold, I come quickly. My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work.


ἐγὼ τὸ Ἄλφα καὶ τὸ Ὦ,ὁ πρῶτος καὶ ὁ ἔσχατος,ἡ ἀρχὴ καὶ τὸ τέλος.I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.


— Μακάριοι οἱπλύνοντες τὰς στολὰςαὐτῶν, ἵνα ἔσται ἡ ἐξουσία αὐτῶν ἐπὶτὸ ξύλον τῆς ζωῆςκαὶ τοῖς πυλῶσιν εἰσέλθωσιν εἰς τὴν πόλιν.Blessed are those who do his commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.
